Mary Cleere Haran
Mary Cleere Haran has been hailed as “the most literate chanteuse of the current generation” by The New Yorker and “a ‘40s chanteuse with a distinctly ‘90s sensibility” by People Magazine. She has appeared at Avery Fisher Hall, Town Hall, the Oak Room of the Algonquin Hotel, The Ballroom, Rainbow & Stars, and venues across the country. Her numerous recordings include "There’s A Small Hotel," recorded live at the Oak Room, "This Heart of Mine - Movie Songs of the ‘40s," "This Funny World - Lyrics by Hart," "Pennies from Heaven - Movie Songs of the Depression," "The Memory of All That – the Songs of George & Ira Gershwin," and her newest release for Touchwood, "Crazy Rythym." Her last New York appearance was hailed by the critics as “cabaret at its most exhalted! This classic show is a historical conjuring act” (New York Times) and “a terrific way to start the season… a stunningly elegant performance, virtually perfect, it sets the standard for all in its wake. A beautiful textbook example of how a cabaret act should be!” (Time Out NY).
