Jean Cocteau Repertory

Jean Cocteau Repertory remains the nation’s only permanent resident acting company performing a full non-stop, 44-week season of rotating repertory. The “Cocteau” serves over 20,000 new and diverse theater-goers each season.

Presenting both the familiar and the rare, Jean Cocteau Repertory has done over 200 productions, taking a leading role in bringing masterworks and neglected plays alike to new life, with new, often exclusively commissioned, translations, new adaptations and visionary interpretations.

Notable recent productions include Marc Blitzstein’s The Cradle Will Rock, the world premiere of Eric Bentley’s adaptation of Brecht’s Mother Courage and Her Children, several plays by Tom Stoppard including Night and Day and On The Razzle, as well as plays by Edvard Raadzinsky and Seamus Heaney, among many others.
